More Stamp Studio Photos . . . finally!

I know it's been a while since I started showing my Anatomy of a Stamp Studio, but I wanted to share more of my studio with you today.

Thanks for your patience, I know you've been waiting.

In my last post about my studio, I showed you this fab cabinet with all of my stamp sets in it . . . . and the two bottom shelves still empty!

Well, I found that my Big Shot and all of the dies, folders, etc. fit on the two shelves!

WooHoo! A place to keep all of it, and it's together!

I have a box that holds all of my big dies, another with my alphabets and Impressions Folders. My XL box dies are on the bottom shelf along with the Big Shot itself.

I found something small to fit in between the boxes that will hold my Sizzlets and such, and you'll see that soon.

I love the way this cabinet looks when it's closed too,but it needs a little dressing up. Hmmm, . . . what will I find?

Oh! What's that peeking at ya from the side of the cabinet?

It's a fab shelf that I found to hang my Stampin' Up bags on.

 

As I am filling my Studio, I'm paying close attention, or trying to, to what else I need to pull it all together. I knew that I needed shelving of some sort and had these beautiful brackets made of white iron and pale green glass that I bought years ago hoping to add them to my kitchen. Long story, but they didn't work out, BUT!

They are just perfect for my Studio!

I bought the black shelves to match the worktable at, where else? IKEA

Okay, so a couple more things for today.

I really need to be working on my Valentine proejcts for this Saturday.

By now I'm sure you've notice the theme of Black and White for my studio and some of you have asked why? Well, since I'll be stamping with a lot of color I decided to keep it clean, so to speak.

When I add in all of my accessories, samples, and yadda yadda, you'll see that there is quite a bit of color. . . . and I did add a few colorful things that you'll see in my next post.

So for my last thing today, I wanted to show you my absolutely wonderful find, my curtains. I had to shop and shop and shop to find these, but I wanted what I wanted and didn't want to settle.

Aren't they pretty? I just love them!

And of course I had to get a cool bracket for them too.

Okay, so here's the last thing for now. I went shopoing just about everywhere to find things to help me get this space organized, . . . and here they are!

ANATOMY of a STAMP STUDIO ~ Part 2

In my first  post, I showed you how we painted, put in a new floor, and the two storage pieces from my daughter's bed that I wanted to repurpose and use in my Stamp Studio.

So I went shopping looking everywhere to find just the right tabletop and to find some other pieces for my Studio.

Here's my shopping list:

A table for stamping, that needs to be found quick!

Storage for all of my stamp sets, over 100 I'm sure

Somewhere to keep my Big Shot and all the dies and Impression Folders (my favorite) and other stuff that comes with it

I'll need somewhere to keep my samples, a place for my punches, embellishments and ribbons, . . . . and the list goes on!

Well, after looking around for several days, and thinking about the options that I saw, I decided on this fabulous black table top for my Studio and it works great!

 

I found the table top at IKEA and also bought a 2nd one to use as my work table since I want everything to be cohesive, but not too matchy-matchy.

You buy just the table top and have your choice of legs for it. I chose these brushed stainless legs that have a fabulous curve to them.

My husband and I put the table together and placed it under the window.

Yeah! I finally get to have natural light, something I never had in my garage workshop, which, by the way, I always referred to as "the Dungeon".

Like I said, I just love the look and feel of the legs!

Now that I had somewhere to stamp, now I needed to find something to put my stamps in so I could at least get the important things in the room.

I also knew that I didn't want anything that looked like cabinets, I had those in the Dungeon, but wanted something more furniture looking, if you know what I mean. It needed to be free standing and I wanted to be able to close it up too.

I know, not asking for much am I?

Look what I found!

 

While I was at IKEA I looked around and found this black cabinet that I knew would work, I just didn't realize how perfect it would be.

Yes, my husband and I had to put it together, but it really isn't that hard.

After putting it together, I couldn't wait to get my stamps in there!

After several trips to the Dungeon, I got them all in, over 130 stamp sets, all current of course, and guess what?!?

I have room to spare! Oh My!

There are 2 empty shelves!

Exactly what I was looking for!

ANATOMY of a STAMP STUDIO

When my daughter Genna got married in June, my youngest, Tessa, decided to take over her big sister's bedroom, leaving not only her room empty, but leaving her furniture behind too.

Hmmmm. . . . . what to do with that room?

I know! I'll finally, after nearly 13 years in the garage, I could have my Stamp Studio!

Although Genna moved out in June, I couldn't start on my room until August since I went on a week long shopping trip with Tessa in late June, and then headed off for Stampin' Up!'s Convention in July.

I decided after I returned, that I wanted to start from the ground up and wanted to share it with you.  I'll have many more photos as I get things organized, but for now, here's how it all started.

Now, since Tessa decided to take over Genna's bedroom furniture, I had her big bed's bookcase headboard, the footboard, and two under the bed storage units, and her dresser in our kitchen~ oh! and the desk and bookcase are in the garage.

Hmmm. . . . can I repurpose and recycle some of these for my studio?

Sure! Why not!

 

Okay, now it out to find some things, like the table top, and somewhere to stamp.
