I had my Valentine class this Saturday and we had so much fun! We made 6 projects, one of them quite lengthy I'll admit, but everyone loved it anyway!
Here is the Long Note Valentine that we made with it's matching envelope.
We used the Valentine Defined set from the Occasions Mini and the fabulous Real Red Glimmer Paper.I kept everything in Real Red and Basic Gray and kept it pretty simple.
Does it look familiar? I used some of the same things as the sample in the mini, changing the color, position and adding the Glimmer Paper Hearts, of course.
It's amazing how with just a few simple changes, you can take an idea and make it your own. Thanks for the idea Stampin' Up!
The envelope uses the Language of Love wheel and I added a couple more Glimmer hearts too. I wanted to have an empty space on the envelope where I could put the name of the person I'm giving to, so I simply used the Decorative Label Punch and a Post It Note. Just punch close to the sticky part of the Post It, lay it where you want to on the envelope and then roll the wheel right over it. Remove the Post It and WhaLa!
Here's another idea that I borrowed, but so sorry, I just can't seem to remember where I saw it. I loved it for the simplicity of it and made mine a postcard.
My favorite part was using the Sale-a-Bration Ribbon and Buttons that I got FREE! Since the buttons come in yellow, pink or blue, I designed the card so that any of the colors could be used.
I chose Rose Red, Pacific Point, Wild Wasabi and Pretty in Pink for the colors.
The stamp set is called Sweetheart and I used my Polka Dot Impressions Folder with Pretty in Pink card stock and then punched it out with the Full Heart Punch. It fits perfectly! The Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border was a perfect punch to use at the bottom and I used the Teeny Tiny Wishes word stamp & a little heart to finish it off.
