Luck Duck in a Window

Okay, I'm having so much fun with the Printed Window sheets that I just had to share two of my latest ideas with you.

I love this duck from the Wagon Full of Fun set and thought it would be fun to have him under the Polka Dot window.

Looks kinda like rain, don't you think?

I added two small Baja corduroy button to hold the window on one side, and the Saffron twill holds it on the other.  

Here's another card that I did using the pretty Raspberry Tart. I know it doesn't look like Raspberry Tart, that's because I used it "backwards" on the side without much raspberry.

For this card, I used one of the fabulous Printed Window sheets and added little Rose Red flowers using the Trio Flower punch.

Then I put on the little Pearls from the Pretties kit, tied Rose Red ribbon in a knot and added a Hat Pin with Pearls, also from the Pretties kit.

Pretty quick and easy. Ya gotta love that!

One more Bright Delights card to share

Here's my Marvelous Heart card that we did at my Technique class this month.

As you can see, we used lots of hearts on this card as well as the great oval print rub on too.
I love the way that it layers on our Wide Oval Punch, don't you?

The background for this card is En Francais stamped in Pretty in Pink for a soft look.

The new White Satin ribbon is fabulous! It's so easy to rub images on to it as I did here with the red heart.
I also used the Full Heart Punch with Pretty in Pink card stock and rubbed on the red outline heart with solid hearts inside too.

The red heart on the Jumbo White Brad rubbed on pretty easily, but like I said previously, it ain't always so!


Please excuse my little faux pas on the "v" in "love".
I accidentally scraped it a little when rubbing on the orange heart in the "o" next to it. OOPS!



Here's a close up of the oval image that I talked about. I used the small oval punch and rubbed on the word "love" and added a red heart too.

Marvelous! Simply marvelous!

My Easter Treat Purses

 

For Easter, I wanted to use my Big Shot and make some treat packets for my family and here's what I did.

For my two nieces I wanted something cute, and thought that a Top Note purse would fit the bill.

I used Designer Paper to match their style (discontinued unfortunately) and added their initial on the flap with a Lots of Letters chipboard piece.



I used a little white lunch bag to put their treats in as shown on this side view.

They were super quick and easy to assemble and I hope you like them!

Tip: Adhere the Designer Paper to coordinating card stock before putting it through the Big Shot and you'll be ready to assemble in minutes!

Another Rub On card to share

Here's another card that we made at my Technique classes. This one went together pretty quickly and was a cinch to do.

For this card I decided to use our Metal Edged Tags and really liked the way it turned out.

The images fit well into both sizes of the ME Tags and I added even more texture to this card by using our Flower Brads in Pumpkin and Chocolate, along with two different ribbons.

Tea Party Note cards

Here is one of the notecards that we made at my Designing Women Tea Party class last month.

Each of the notecards had a matching envelope and used the Eyelet Border Punch too.

Here are all four cards that we put in the Card Basket that was posted a few days ago.

The word pieces were stamped using the colors in the Tea Party paper, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, Almost Amethyst and Certainly Celery.

What a great gift and a quick way to keep notecards handy too!

Taking a Closer Look

Here is a closer look at the bottom of the Owl card that I posted yesterday. I had several people ask to see it so I thought I'd share with everyone.

The Chocolate squares and the multi colored circles are one piece of the border that comes in the Bright Delights Rub On package.

The tiny Tangerine flower is rubbed on to a Chocolate Jumbo Brad.

Life is Good!

Here is another card that I made using the Bright Delights Rub Ons.

I started by rubbing on the row of trees, mounted it to the Kiwi Kiss cardstock piece, added a few brads and tied some Kiwi Striped ribbon around it.

Next, I rubbed on the words and used part of the tree to accent it. I mounted this piece with Dimensionals and then adhered the entire piece to a Chocolate Chip card base.

Great card for the guys, don't you think?

Life is good when it takes less than 5 minutes to make a card! Ya gotta love Rub Ons!

Tea Party Top Note Purse

Here's another of the projects that we made at my Designing Women Tea Party class last month.

We used a little white bag for the base of this purse and added pieces cut with the Top Note die for the front, back and top.

Using my Big Shot and the Top Note die, I cut out 3 of the Tea Party paper and 3 using Certainly Celery card stock.

Two were used for the front and back, and the third was used for the purse flap.

I added Flower Brads in Saffron and Pink as accents and some Pretty in Pink striped ribbon as a handle.

Wouldn't this be a cute table favor or gift bag?

Bright Delights Rub Ons

Here's a peek at what I did at my Technique Clubs last Friday.

We used the Bright Delights Rub Ons and make some cards and 3D items. They are so fun and easy to use and you get 2 sheets of the same designs of multicolored Rub Ons per package.

This package is made with Rose Red, Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss and Chocolate Chip.

I used only one sheet of Rub Ons for these cards and have plenty left over.

For this cute Owl card, I used a strip of the new Walk in the Park Designer Paper just out in the Occasions Mini catalog.


I rubbed on some of the border (you'll see the border on the left of the photo above" added the word "wonderful", mounted it to a strip of Tangerine Tango card stock and then on to the card.


Next I rubbed on the word "Friend" at the bottom and added a jumbo Chocolate brad.
I also added a tiny flower to the brad.


Tip: It doesn't always work right away! Sometimes you need to use a sanding block to rough up the brads.

I mounted this entire piece to the card front and then rubbed on the Owl. He has brown eyes, but I made mine Tangerine by rubbing on some of the tiny dots of the border.

Here's something that I did last month along with some of my Stampin' Up team members.

The base is a 5x5 canvas frame that I found at a local craft store. It was only a buck and I saw immediate potential.

We used the So Tweet Chipboard for the birds and Good Morning Sunshine Designer Papers with a couple of fun accessories.

I took a piece of the blue circle printfrom the Good Morning Sunshine Designer Paper and mounted it to the canvas with Sticky Strip to make my background.

Then I covered the birds with more prints from the package, then daubered some color on the big bird's tail and the legs and beak of both birds. I attached them to the canvas with Snail and Dimensionals.

I cut out the "sun" from the Good Morning paper too and mounted it with Dimensionals.

For the eyes, I used a Pacific Point Corduroy brad for the large bird and a blue Ice Rhinestone for the little guy.

To finish this project, I used Sticky Strip around 3 sides of the canvas frame to add Pacific Point Striped grosgrain ribbon.

Cute and fun!
