Wow! I was so thrown off when the Retired and Discontinued lists came out that I totally blanked on sharing more of my Technique Tuesday Watercolor Embossing cards.
So sorry!
Some of the Discontinued products, like Glossy paper, Watercolor Crayons and Pencils were needed for my Tuesday Techniques in the next several weeks.
Soooo, back to my stampin' studio to change them up with products that are available. Craziness!
Here is a sneak peek at another Watercolor Embossing idea.

See the Shimmer?!?
When you use Shimmery card stock, it shines right through the ink!
Love it!
Here's how to do it ~
First, the Essentials for the Embossing part:
Craft White pad, White Emboss Powder, Embossing Buddy,
Shimmery card stock and stamps, I'm using the Bordering on Romance set.
Oh! and the Heat Tool (not shown)

First, rub the Embossing Buddy over your Shimmery pieces.
I used a 2 3/4" square and a 5" x 3 3/4" piece.
Now ink up your images in the White Craft pad and stamp them.
I put the floral image on the Shimmery square piece and stamped the border image on the bottom of the larger piece.
Now emboss them.

Okay, so it's white on white and really hard to see, but you'll get it soon.
Now for the fun part!
But first, the Essentials for watercoloring ~

You'll need an Aquapainter and ink refills (aka Reinkers).
I'm using Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie.
I used the lids from brads etc, as my pallette.
All you need is 1 drop, trust me, it goes a long way.
When you're done painting, just take a paper towel and wipe the ink off the lids and they're ready to use again!
Now you're ready to start ~

First mist the image with water. I use a Stampin' Spritzer.
Now start watercoloring. Be sure and pull the color away, as they say, so that you don't get too intense of a color. You can add more as you go if you want it darker.

See how I'm "pulling" the color with the tip of the Aquapainter?
Now paint to your heart's content!

Now all you need to do is finish the card ~ Here's what I did

I layered my pieces and added words, . . . but then I decided to bump it up!

I added pearls to the center off all the flowers as well as the word piece.
See?!?

Ready to pop in an envelope, stamped of course,
and get it to a special Mom I know.
Happy Mother's Day everyone!
